Seven Squared Gap Mesh

Pattern Description

This pattern is built from tight bundles of seven parallel lines, repeated in bands that run one direction (with gaps in between bands), then crossed by identical bundles running perpendicular to them.

Where the two sets overlap, they form small square openings and a layered plaid effect, with the crossing points reading almost like woven threads passing over and under each other. Zoomed in, it looks a lot like a scan of actual cloth, gingham, or a tight basket weave rendered in ink.

On one edge, due to printing imperfections, the pattern appears to become bolder as if it was burning and melting to fuse together.
