Pattern Description
This is a fine, even dot screen interrupted by a loose scatter of irregular blotches sitting on top of it–or, alternatively, a mess of loose dot screen yarn-like strands all sitting on top of a slightly-visible plain background.
The darker areas read almost like halftone shading, tiny dots packed close enough to blur into a flat texture from a normal viewing distance, and the plain blotches break that texture up with soft, rounded, slightly uneven shapes of varying size.
While the plain blotches appear to be relatively random, looking at it from a distance shows that there is a general tiled pattern repeated across the surface. Up close it has the feel of visual static that doesn’t quite seem to resolve or lead anywhere.
