Pattern Description
One of my favorites. It kind of looks like a pattern in some fine wood. I love the blue here too.
It’s built from a dense field of fine wavy lines, all running in loose parallel bands that ripple and swell as they go. Instead of holding to a strict grid, the lines bend and thicken into darker channels that branch and fork across the surface, almost like tributaries cutting through the linework. Where those channels form, the wavy strokes bunch up tighter and read as solid veining against the lighter, more open stretches around them.
The overall effect sits somewhere between a woven texture and something you’d see looking down at a landscape from altitude, with no obvious repeating unit, just one continuous, irregular flow, though there are some implied lined sections.
