♥LYUBOV

Check out this license plate I found:

The ♥LYUBOV License Plate

(A personalized white California state license plate.)

My first instinct was that [HEART] LYUBOV stood for something like “Love You Both”–BOV a sort of abbreviation for Both.

Obviously the heart was a clue to that. I always love it when people include symbols like the ♥ on their plates. Why not!!

However, in my research I found that Lyubov is actually a Russian word meaning “love” or “she loves,” and in fact is often used as a girl’s name.

So this car is probably talking about someone specific, and really amping up the love connection of the name itself.

Or, hell, maybe it stands for Love Your Unique Beauty, Offer Value. I doubt it, though.
