At UW-LAX I took a public speaking class and the final project was a persuasive speech that required a multimedia visual aid. Since it was 2007 I decided my speech would persuade others about “how awesome I was” and for a visual aid I made a testimonial video with friends and people on campus.

I originally planned on just getting a bunch of people to say the words “Ethan is awesome” to repeat over and over, but some of them decided to really run with it and the video blew up. The fun I had in making it (in Windows Movie Maker!) led me to consider film school as a serious opportunity.

Looking back, I’m so embarrassed by the video clip I used of myself at the end. Why did I look like that? Why didn’t I take a shower first??
