The good early days when Caitlin was still around at Columbia.
For a production 1 class, I made this to parody the usual stereotypes of “first films” that freshman make. A huge number of them involved homeless people, break-ups, and dramatic death scenes. So I thought, why not make my film about a guy directing his film about all those things?
I had to find someone else with a Bolex rented out so I could shoot someone with a Bolex, on my Bolex. I also gave him my most ostentatious shirt, and some gloves and a beret, to complete the auteur look. I had fun with this.
