Set a custom favicon for the WordPress admin dashboard, with built-in tools to generate greyscale and lightened variants from an existing icon.

== Description ==

Ethan's Admin Favicon adds a link to a custom favicon in the header of the WordPress admin dashboard, so your admin tab is easy to pick out among a browser full of open tabs.

There are three ways to set it:

1. Pick an image from your media library and use it as-is, with no editing.
2. Pick an image, then adjust it with live hue, saturation, brightness, and contrast sliders (useful for producing a greyscale, lightened toolbar icon from an existing logo) and preview it against a full-spectrum background color picker before saving.
3. Enter a direct favicon URL.

Adjusted variants are saved as new, separately timestamped media attachments — your original source image is never modified or overwritten. Output is PNG, which every modern browser accepts as a favicon and which preserves transparency correctly; the plugin does not resize your source image, so a 2x/retina-sized icon is generated at full resolution.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `ethans-admin-favicon` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
2. Activate the plugin through the "Plugins" menu in WordPress.
3. Go to Settings > Admin Favicon to select a source image and generate your favicon.
